Cytology
 Cytology
is performed by microscopically evaluating cells, which are
collected in various ways. Such as: fine needle aspiration,
skin scrapings, mass impressions and swabs. When examining
cells, we evaluate for evidence of cancer, external
parasites, infections and inflammation. For owners
interested in breeding their pet, vaginal swabs may be
collected to determine their stage of estrous.
